    Eligibility: This course is open to all health and social care professionals

    This training is designed to help you identify the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking, and to respond effectively to support the individuals you work with.

    The course includes a review of case studies from frontline services, definitions of modern slavery and human trafficking, and identification of labour abuse and various types of modern slavery seen in the UK. Participants will explore the scale of slavery through national and sector-specific data, learn to identify vulnerabilities and signs, understand methods of control, and discover the support available for survivors through the National Referral Mechanism. Additionally, the course covers South Gloucestershire's Safeguarding Adults Board and Child Protection policy and process. Ideal for health and social care professionals, this training promises to enhance your ability to recognise and address modern slavery and human trafficking in your work.

    Charges

    The charge for this course or event is £57. However, if your organisation contributes to the safeguarding board, or you are South Gloucestershire Council social care staff, you will be entitled to a fully funded place. Fully funded places may be subject to a non-attendance or late cancellation fee.
