    Eligibility: This e-module is for South Gloucestershire Council staff only.

    Welcome to the e-module on fire safety in the workplace. This course provides an essential overview of good fire safety practices at work. By the end of the course, you will be able to identify potential fire risks to yourself and your colleagues, understand how fire starts and behaves, and know what to do if you discover a fire or hear a fire alarm. You will also learn about the different types of fire-fighting equipment and how to use them effectively.

    While this course primarily focuses on fire precautions in offices and similar buildings, the principles apply to all premises, except those with very high fire risk processes. If your workplace has additional risks, you will receive special instructions tailored to those needs.
