    Eligibility: This e-module is for South Gloucestershire Council staff only.

    Local Authorities have a legal responsibility for looked-after children and care leavers — this is known as Corporate Parenting. It’s not just the role of those working directly with young people; All staff, Councillors, and statutory partners have an important part to play. This e-module is designed to help you:

    • Understand your role and responsibilities as a Corporate Parent.
    • Explore how you can contribute to improving outcomes for looked-after children and care leavers.

    The course should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. You can revisit the course at any time to refresh your knowledge.
