Corporate parenting is the term used to describe the collective responsibility within the council to provide the best possible care and protection for children and young people who are looked after. Local Authorities hold this responsibility, and Members and senior officers play a crucial role in this task. This e-module is designed to help councillors understand their roles and responsibilities in improving outcomes for looked after children.
The course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be revisited at any time to refresh your knowledge. By completing this e-module, councillors will gain valuable insights into their corporate parenting duties, ensuring they are well-equipped to support and advocate for the well-being of looked after children.
