    Welcome to the Asbestos Awareness e-module. This course is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and skills necessary to understand the risks associated with exposure to asbestos and what is included in the management of those risks. Asbestos, a once commonly used material in construction and manufacturing due to its durability and resistance to heat, is now known to pose significant health hazards. Exposure to asbestos fibres can lead to serious conditions, including lung cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestosis.

    Throughout this e-module, you will learn about the different types of asbestos, the health risks associated with exposure, how to identify potential asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), and the best practices for managing and minimising these risks.
