This course is for partners of South Gloucestershire Council who complete the Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHAP) with children and families. This course introduces the Early Help and an explanation of the Early Help Assessment and Plan (EHAP) process. It also provides advice on how to complete an Early Help Assessment and Plan, including reviews and closures.
The course has ten sections, and it is recommended that professionals who are new to South Gloucestershire Council or those who have not been involved in the EHAP process before, complete them all in numerical order. Once completed, professionals can use the course as an ongoing support tool and resource, which they can refer to at any time in order to refresh their knowledge of the EHAP process.
An EHAP can be started by any professional who works with children and families in South Gloucestershire. After completing this course, professionals should feel confident starting an EHAP, being a lead professional and running an EHAP successfully.
