Commissioned by the Children's Partnership, this course is designed to support practitioners in working together to ensure the provision of help, support, and protection for children is effective and in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
Safeguarding and child protection rely not only on established procedures but also on skills, knowledge, judgement, and the ability to collaborate and learn effectively. This course is essential for professionals who hold a designated or named safeguarding role within their organisation.
The course's learning objectives and activities are designed to ensure all attendees gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to work and develop as multi-agency partners. It will cover statutory practice requirements and the application of local thresholds, with a focus on assessment and decision-making.
Additional information:Attendance at the Introduction to Child Protection course is a prerequisite for booking this course. Please note that the content will include references to sensitive topics and local and national child safeguarding practice reviews.

The charge for this course or event is £115.00. However, if your organisation contributes to the safeguarding board, or you are internal social care staff you will be entitled to a fully funded place. Fully funded places may be subject to a non-attendance or late cancellation fee.
