    Eligibility: This course is open to everyone

    The STAR Programme is an innovative initiative designed to support South Gloucestershire's Children's Services in embedding our Practice model. This comprehensive training integrates Signs of Safety, Trauma-Informed practice, and Systemic approaches. Foster carers will gain the knowledge and tools to apply these approaches effectively. Participants will learn to use the Signs of Safety framework to enhance child protection practices, understand Trauma-Informed principles to support children who have experienced trauma, and apply Systemic approaches to improve family dynamics and foster placements. The sessions will focus on Safety, Transparency, Aspirations, and Relationships, and will be tailored to help foster carers understand our practice model and apply it in their roles with children and families in South Gloucestershire.     As a result of this course, you will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:
