This comprehensive course delves into the holistic health and wellbeing of children and young people, from birth through to becoming a care leaver. It encompasses not only their physical health but also their emotional and social wellbeing. The course will address sensitive topics such as puberty and sexual health, ensuring these important conversations are handled with care and respect. Course leader: Liz Dando, an expert in holistic health, will lead the sessions. Each session will be tailored to the specific needs of different age groups, ensuring relevance and engagement. You will gain an understanding of what a health assessment involves and its importance. The course will provide practical advice on how carers can support the children in their care. Additionally, it will offer insights into the roles of health visitors and school nurses in promoting and maintaining the health of children and young people. For any questions prior to the training, please email Chris Hill at chris.hill@southglos.gov.uk.
