This course is designed for newly qualified social workers and consists of two engaging half-day sessions. In the first session, you will receive a kit bag and learn creative ways to use its items for direct work with the people you support. The second session, held two months later, provides an opportunity to reflect on your use of the kit bag, revisit essential visit fundamentals, and discuss any direct work visits you have undertaken. These face-to-face workshops are exclusively for children's NQSWs and are aimed at enhancing your skills and effectiveness in your role.
This course aligns with the following Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS), as detailed in your AYSE Handbook: KSS 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6.
